Ohmigosh!! It’s my very first billboard!

Apparently these babies are everywhere (yay!) and I’m quite excited to see all 12 different layouts! Please drop me a note with the location if you see one so that I can pop by.

Now… on to the real stuff. Shooting with Eleven Inc. for AAA was a dream. These people were truly amazing to work with. They got up at the crack of dawn, hustled, finessed tight schedules and handled last minute requests with ease. They had smiles on their faces the entire time and were just the best crew I could ever have asked for. Drumroll please….

Lisa Wiseman is a San Francisco-based photographer. While her work is both clean and sharp, Wiseman’s images are very much expressive. There’s almost a cinematic quality to her work as subjects project a range of emotions. The aforementioned is subtle but there’s a real sense of singularity and loneliness that permeates the work. Take note of Wiseman’s use of ambient light and inclusion of soft images / images shot at a slower shutter speed in her portfolio; both approaches give her work a nice degree of range.

i found this in vanity fair a few years ago and it merits reposting. it is an amazing combo of howard schatz directing/photographing jeff goldblum. click on the image to see it larger - you need to read the character descriptions below each photo to understand how awesome this is. i plan to try this on future people i photograph.
