I recently requested information about Academy of Art University and I saw an article about you in once of the mailings. Just thought I'd tell you ... You're awesome. As an aspiring photographer I hope I get that good.
Thank you so much for writing to me and for saying such nice things! I’m glad the AAU mailing was inspiring, it was a fun place to go to school. Keep taking photos!
Really nice way to play with light and composition.
Just a little question why don't you bring (or if you do show the results) a little (or big huge MF) film camera with you?
I'm not a "purist" or the kind of people thinking that film photography is the only right way (well I'm worst even if I do use it I don't consider digital images as photographs ;-)...). But well with such a nice sense of playing with light and subjects as yours I really think film dynamics and ways of behaving themselves could providing you really astonishing results OMHO. (I'm not talking about a complete turnover, just some small backup/2nd/3rd camera in the bag fully serviced, loaded with "all-light-conditions-proof film"...)
Thanks for writing to me. To answer your question, I do always have a film camera with me, in my bag. I keep a polaroid with me all time time and I do show my scanned favorites on my website.
